More than $16,000 raised for Multiple Sclerosis

Under the honorary presidency of Sylvie Picard, co-owner of Parikart, the SP Chaudières-Appalaches sector held its annual Girls' Dinner. The event set up with the aim of collecting donations, raising awareness and of course supporting those who have to live with this disease on a daily basis brought together more than 200 women this year. $16,320 raised and a lot of shared happiness contributed to the great success of this evening.

A disease that affects women more

Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable disease that disrupts communication between the central nervous system and the brain. This disease mainly affects women (75% of the time) and is currently incurable. This is obviously one of the many reasons that motivated Sylvie to accept the honorary presidency without hesitation. Donations are used to support people affected by the disease with services and subsidies. Additionally, donations are used to advance research into the cause and treatments for the disease.
