What is this?
Fillers aim to fill or add volume where needed. They also help recreate more harmonious facial contours and effectively fill in wrinkles, lines, and certain facial depressions.
Different fillers can be used. The most popular is hyaluronic acid, a molecule already present in the skin, but which decreases with age.
These are resorbable injectable implants, injected with a fine needle. Fillers improve skin radiance by rehydrating it with hyaluronic acid.
The best-known treatment that requires fillers is lip injection.

As we age, the skin becomes fragile, thinner, and drier. This is why mature skin needs more hydration and care. In addition to filling hollows and deep wrinkles, hyaluronic acid promotes deep skin hydration thanks to its water retention power. It can indeed hold 1000 times its weight in water.
