FILLER AGENTS

What is this?
Fillers aim to fill or add volume where needed. They also make it possible to recreate more harmonious contours on the face and effectively fill in wrinkles, furrows and certain depressions on the face.
Different fillers can be used. The most popular is hyaluronic acid, a molecule already present in the skin, but which decreases with age.
These are resorbable injectable implants injected using a fine needle. Fillers improve the radiance of the skin by rehydrating it with hyaluronic acid.
The most well-known treatment that requires filler is lip injection.
The different possible treatments
Filler treatment is primarily used to reduce wrinkles and depressions in the dermis due to scarring, increase lip volume, or restore soft tissue loss. Here are some possible treatments:
1. Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles such as marionette lines (around the mouth), nasolabial folds and glabellar lines (frown lines).
2. Increase the volume of cheeks, chin and lips.
3. Define the contour of the lips by giving volume and improving their symmetry.
4. Fill hollow scars caused by acne or other skin conditions.
5. Correction of tear trough (dark circles under the eyes).
Hyaluronic acid: a molecule of choice
Hyaluronic acid is a molecule already present in the human body. The injections are natural and break down naturally in the body over time. Hyaluronic acid is also a highly hydrating substance. As we age, the skin becomes fragile, thinner and drier. This is why mature skin requires more hydration and care. In addition to allowing the filling of hollows and deep wrinkles, hyaluronic acid promotes deep hydration of the skin thanks to its water retention power. It has the capacity to retain 1000 times its weight in water.
