What's behind Égérie's promotional video
The launch of our brand new fragrance, Égérie , was an adventure in itself for the entire Parikart team. It was also a project that required a lot of work over the last 3 years and that's why we wanted to tell you about it in more detail.
Here are a few nods to the incredible team we had the chance to work with.
All the work around the design of Égérie was carried out thanks to Isaline (who makes her appearance on the red carpet in the video). Graphic designer for the agency Les Mauvais Garçons . This is also the marketing and communications agency which worked on the development of Parikart's new brand image last March (and which did an incredible job).
The logo was built from the original Parikart typos as it is a brand that derives from it.
The floral designs recall the top and heart notes of the perfume while recalling the feminine touch that this perfume brings to these users.
The colors chosen for this project evoke notes of white roses, sandalwood and vanilla which intermingle and reveal a scent evoking the warm sides of cashmere.
Purple and burgundy recall femininity as well as the sensual and cozy side of the fragrance.
Studio Gallery; an incredible work of direction was done for the production of the official promotional video.
Production company based in Quebec, we also worked with them for the project “Free to be yourself” in 2021. She has an extensive portfolio that includes projects with companies such as Nikon, Bell, Le festival d'Été de Québec, Desjardins, Fou Gin and the OIIQ. Its co-founder and creative director, Marc-Alexandre Dulude, has been making videos for a long time and is originally from Lévis, so he has always been in the field and known by who he was and by the contracts he has achieved:
“When we thought about being free to be yourself, we thought of him to make it happen and we worked with them. We work really well together, they are really on point both in terms of organization and production and we really liked the result so for us, it was a no brainer to go with them for the Égérie project. »
- Camille Bilodeau, marketing & product development director at Parikart
As for the organization of the project, we already had a fairly clear idea of what we wanted because of the definition of the word Égérie.* Due to the meaning, we knew what we wanted to see and bring to life. in the video without hesitation. Then, in terms of details, they were the ones who came up with a more precise and detailed concept. Once the concept has been communicated, a production approach (written story board ), a photo direction (lighting inspiration, colors, type of lens to use, etc.) and also the details of the scenes they see in the video was sent to us.
Then, the project flowed so well to get to this final result!
*Museia; A muse serves as inspiration, a muse to an artist or a movement.
Camille Bilodeau, Marketing & Product Development Director; (makes his appearance on the dance stage in the video) incredible work was done without counting the hours both in terms of artistic direction and his contribution to the design of the perfume. It was also the latter who discovered Ruby Brown, a Canadian perfumery which produced this irresistible fragrance.
Jean-Sébastien Paré, E-commerce Director; hard work was put into bringing this incredible project to fruition on his part as well. From the design of the fragrance, to the filming, to the management and organization of the launch event.
Hélène Paré, President; (appears on the cocktail scene in the video)
Is at the origin of the idea of creating a perfume. Hélène wanted to bring the emotion of the brand identity to life and do more than design a simple product.
“It would have been difficult to communicate that Parikart is an elegant, luxurious brand with a certain depth by designing just a simple shampoo, for example. »
-Helene
After sales of the online store exploded during COVID-19, it was in the warehouse which was located, at that time, in her garage that Hélène proposed this idea (!!). Being a collector and fan of perfumes it only made sense to do all this!
The design of body products inspired by perfume then took its course, creations which reinforce the fact that Parikart will always offer that little extra and go all the way to the end.
